Becoming a Plymouth award winning photographer has always a dream of mine. This week I got the exciting news that I had achieved a GOLD with the National Photographic Society (NPS). It is always nice to get recognition and I am so grateful to have been given such an incredible award.
Now in all honesty I never normally have time to submit photos to competitions. I am normally so busy creating beautiful baby portraits for local Plymouth parents. With Covid-19 having such a huge affect on the world right now it has freed up some time for me. I have been busy taking photos of my gorgeous family!
This photo is of my eldest daughter Georgina. She will be turning 4 in a few weeks (wow – where has that time gone?).
While we are in lockdown in the UK she will be unable to have her Frozen themed birthday party. She has been planning it ALL year! I decided to cheer her up by taking some birthday photos for her in the studio. I did traditional portraits followed by a donut smash for her. You can see her photos here! I was planning to end the session there but she said ‘bath photos now?’ She clearly didn’t want to miss out on a splash in the tub!
As I said before I never normally enter photos to competitions but with a little push from my Dad who said he thought it was ‘award winning’ I decided to enter it. Never did I think it would achieve the huge GOLD award!
I am so grateful to the National Photographic Society for passing on such a high award to me. As ever it will continue to drive me to achieve bigger and better things with the new title of Plymouth Award Winning Photographer!
I need to say a huge thank you to my family for always supporting me. I also need to say a huge thank you to all of the clients who let me share their photos online. These help my work get seen by more. Every little like, comment and share helps grow my small Plymouth photo business. Thank you!
