It was such an honour to have my newborn studio work published in this months addition. I need to say a big thank you to the individuals who produce the magazine each month. Becoming a Plymouth Award Winning Photographer | GOLD
Becoming a Plymouth award winning photographer has always a dream of mine. This week I got the exciting news that I had achieved a GOLD with the National Photographic Society (NPS). It is always nice to get recognition and I am so grateful to have been given such an incredible award. Now in all honesty I never normally have time to submit photos to competitions. I am normally so busy creating beautiful baby portraits for local Plymouth parents. With Covid-19 having such a huge affect on the world right now it has freed up some time for me. I have been busy taking photos of my gorgeous family! This photo is of my eldest daughter Georgina. She will be turning 4 in a few weeks (wow – where has that time gone?). While we are in lockdown in the UK she will be unable to have her Frozen themed birthday party.…
Abbie Ford | Positive Birth Story 2020
While the world we are living in seems a little scary right now I thought it might be encouraging to hear a POSITIVE birth story. Abbie from Plymouth has very kindly agreed to share her positive birth story after giving birth at Derriford Hospital. A positive birth story written by Abbie: On Tuesday evening at 6:30pm I put my eldest to bed. I went to sit on the sofa and my contractions began to start. Being 10 – 13 minutes apart I knew I had a while to go but had to get my son to my brother just incase. He comes and picks him up and settles him at his house for bed. Off I go to bed to build up the energy I was going to need for childbirth. Every 10 minutes another contraction happens so I don’t sleep at all. Wednesday morning comes and wake my other…
